What is free and what is not required?
Question
FlowPDF answer
Is an account required?
No account or email registration is required.
Is there a subscription?
No paid FlowPDF subscription is needed to use the available tools.
Does FlowPDF add a watermark?
No FlowPDF advertising watermark is added to downloaded output. The Watermark PDF tool only adds the watermark you choose.
Are documents uploaded?
The PDF-processing operations run locally in the browser. Standard website resources and anonymous analytics still use normal network requests.
Are there practical limits?
Device memory and processing speed limit very large files, especially on phones.
Not every PDF operation changes a document in the same way. Merging, splitting, rotating, extracting and page organization generally copy or adjust existing PDF page structures. Compression and secure redaction rebuild affected pages as images, which can remove selectable text, links or form fields. PDF to Markdown extracts text but simplifies complex layouts. FlowPDF explains these trade-offs on each tool page so you can choose the appropriate operation.
Questions about free PDF tools
Can I use FlowPDF without registering?
Yes. You can open a tool, select a document and download the result without creating an account.
Will FlowPDF place its logo on my document?
No. FlowPDF does not add an advertising logo or watermark to output files.
Why can a large PDF fail on mobile?
Local processing uses the phone’s available memory and processor. A desktop browser may handle large documents more reliably.
Is local processing the same as complete anonymity?
No. Document contents stay in browser processing, but the website and analytics still receive ordinary web request information. See the privacy page for details.
