Privacy at FlowPDF

FlowPDF is designed to process PDF and image files locally in your web browser. The website does not require an account, and the document contents you choose are not intentionally transmitted to a FlowPDF document-processing server.

Files and document contents

When you attach a supported file, browser-based libraries read it in memory on your device. Editing, merging, splitting, compression, conversion and other document operations are performed within the active browser tab. Downloaded results are created by the browser.

FlowPDF does not intentionally collect file names, document text, signatures, passwords or the contents of attached PDFs and images through its analytics.

Browser settings and saved tool choices

The tool catalogue can remember your favourite and recently opened tools in this browser. This feature saves only known tool identifiers, not your search words, file names, document contents or passwords. You can reset these saved tool choices from the homepage. If browser storage is unavailable, the catalogue still works, but its choices may not survive a reload.

Separately, the existing signing controls can remember a saved signature or stamp image, an entered name and sizing preferences on your device. Other people using the same browser profile may have access to these saved settings. Resetting tool choices does not remove signing settings; use the signing controls or your browser's site-data controls to remove those separately.

Sharing a tool and saving a shortcut

The Share tool link action passes a public FlowPDF website address, tool name and short description to your browser's sharing interface, or copies that public address to your clipboard. It does not include your attached PDF, document contents or file name. The separate Share PDF control shares a result file through your device's sharing interface; it is not the same action as sharing a tool link.

Saving a shortcut or installing FlowPDF uses your browser's own bookmarking or installation controls. Installation does not imply that all tools work offline. These convenience features do not introduce a FlowPDF account or an additional visitor identifier.

Website analytics

FlowPDF uses Google Analytics to understand general website usage, such as visited pages, opened tools, clicks on download links, tool-link sharing actions, shortcut or installation actions, approximate location, device type and referral source. These measurements help improve the product and evaluate marketing. Custom FlowPDF events are designed not to include file names or document contents. A click on a download link does not confirm that your device successfully saved the file.

Third-party resources

The website loads browser libraries and supporting files from content delivery networks. Those providers may receive standard web request information such as IP address, browser type and requested resource. Google Analytics also processes usage data under Google’s own terms and privacy practices.

Your choices

• Do not attach a document if browser-based processing is not suitable for your security requirements.
• Use browser privacy controls or content blockers to limit analytics and third-party requests.
• Close the browser tab and clear browser data after working on a shared device.
