How to remove pages from a PDF
- Choose Remove PDF pages free and use Attach PDF. Wait for the page cards to load, then identify the sheets that should not appear in the output.
- Click or tap the pages you want to delete. In this tool, selected pages are removed, not retained. Check the selection count and the visible content on each selected card.
- Choose Remove Selected Pages. Leave at least one page unselected: a PDF needs a remaining page, and the tool will not export an empty document.
- Download the result and open it separately. Confirm that unwanted sheets are gone, the retained pages are in the intended order, and no necessary instructions or appendices were removed.
When page removal is the right choice
A scanner may capture an empty back page after every letter. A meeting packet can include an outdated agenda alongside its replacement. A draft report might contain an internal checklist that should not go to a client. Removing whole sheets creates a cleaner working copy without requiring you to assemble every page again from scratch.
Removal is especially convenient when you want to keep most of the source file. If you only need two pages from a long report, Extract PDF Pages is usually easier because you select what to retain. For several chapter files, choose Split PDF rather than repeatedly deleting different sections.
Check the document around each deletion
Page numbers in the workspace refer to physical sheets, which may differ from printed labels. Examine the pages immediately before and after a deletion. A removed page can contain a chart legend, a continuation of a table, or terms referred to elsewhere. Existing printed page numbers are not automatically renumbered, so a document that originally shows pages 1, 2 and 3 may visibly jump from 1 to 3 after removal.
What removing a page does not do
This tool removes entire pages, not a name, paragraph or image within a retained page. Use Redact PDF for sensitive regions and review that output carefully. Removal does not clean all document metadata or guarantee that confidential information is absent elsewhere. It also does not reorder the remaining pages or repair broken references. Pages are copied into a new file, but complex form relationships, bookmarks and existing digital signatures may be affected by changing the document.
